In the evening of 27th of October, 1992,
which was a day before the incident, Ms. Yoon was tossing about the US clubs,
drunken and met the US soldier Private Keneth Markel. She agreed to sleep together
for the night and was on her way home with him. In front of her house, they
came across Corporal Jason Lambert(제이슨 램버트) and had a long quarrel with
him. Corporal Lambert was angry at that time having failed to make an agreement
on the price for the night with another Gijichon women, didn't like to see the
girl who he slept with yesterday in the arms of another US soldier and came
up with a fight.
Because of this incident, Markel went
furious, grabbing Ms. Yoon's hair and throwing her into her room and started
assaulting her brutally. Markel assaulted Ms. Yoon's head with a Cola bottle
many times. As blood started to soar out of her forehead, she no longer had
the strength to resist. Markel shoved in an umbrella into her anus. The umbrella
was inserted about 27 cm (about 10 inches) into her anus, almost reaching her
rectum. Even that was not enough for Markel, he shoved in 2 beer bottles in
Yoon's womb and the cola bottle was already half inserted. To remove evidence,
he broke some fire matches and made her bite them with her mouth, and sprayed
white laundry detergent all over her body. The autopsy told us the cause of
death was the major collaps of her assaulted face (by the cola bottle) and too
much loss of blood.
The murderer, Keneth Markle was sentenced
to 15 years of imprisonment, after a long trial which went up to the Supreme
Court, and was imprisoned in Chun-an Youth Prison in 17th of May, 1994. After
this, Markle did not show any action of guilt, and even acted absurdly inside
the prison. The reason was that the food and letters come too late to the prisoners.
For this reason, he was sentenced 8 more months of imprisonment. He is currently
under the prison term.
